A new bugfix version of KMyMoney has just been released. It is still KDE3, but it still can be used on your KDE4 installation. That's to avoid any misunderstandings. :D
Mostly, it fixes a bug which would crash the application when creating a schedule on a newly-created account, eg. credit cards or loans. It also has a more complete oxygen icon set.
This is the link to the tarball: http://sourceforge.net/projects/kmymoney2/files/KMyMoney/1.0.1/kmymoney2...

Dear Lazyweb, I have been googling a lot but I haven't found a way to synchronize my Nokia N95 with Kontact. I can plug it in via USB (I can get a bluetooth dongle if necessary).
Is there a way to sync my phone or the required pieces are still in the work?
Thanks in advance!
UPDATE: Several people suggested a guide to sync by using the Opensync-syncML plugin. The issue now is where can I find an Opensync plugin for Akonadi? There was one for KDE 3.5, but not for KDE4.

The Ubuntu Argentina LoCo team is having an Ubuntu Day on September 26th. It will consist of talks and a get together in the offices of a company that was gentle to let us use them on a Saturday. It has a nice conference room, and enough extra space to have a booth.

We have a dot story, and the file is there to download, although the kmymoney home page has yet to be updated. :)
Thanks to Lydia and the dot editors for the help in writing the announcement, specially to Sebastian Kügler for coming up with the witty title. And thanks to everyone else who helped us have this release. You know who you are.
No screenshots this time. You are going to have to install it to see it! :) :)

The translations for Kubuntu still suck. I am running KDE 4.3, and there are several string for KDE PIM that are still translated like "%n días" (%n days) instead of "%1 días" (%1 days). It looks to me like some system, Rosetta or whatever, doing a carpet-bombing translation without taking into account the parameters. To make matters worse, last time I checked in Rosetta there were suggestions for those translations, but they were still not approved or not included in the translations.

On the KDE4 front, the work has been moving forward steadily. We now have a mailing list in kde.org, to help us coordinate the effort better, kmymoney-devel at kde.org. You are welcome to join if you want to help or just take a peek at the process.
Cristian Onet has been doing an awesome job with the ledger. He managed to fix most of the issues with that view and it now loads ok. That view has a lot of custom widgets, so it was a lot of hard work to take it from not showing anything to be almost fully-functional. It's great to have him on board for the port!

We are in the final steps toward releasing KMyMoney 1.0. It has been over 2 years since the last stable release and over that time the development team has been busy building a lot of features, while maintaining and even improving stability and performance.

I have setup a wiki page on Techbase to coordinate the porting efforts to port KMyMoney to KDE4. This will allow us to coordinate better among all of us involved in the effort. It also gives some kind of hint of where are at with the porting effort, and it may encourage other people to join us.
You can find the page here.

This is actually just a reminder to myself on how to compile CVS from scratch, but I thought it could be handy to others.
I run Kubuntu Jaunty, so you have to install the KDE3 development libs (please note that the kdelibs4-dev is the package for KDE3. Weird Debian package naming!):
sudo apt-get install kdelibs4-dev
After that, in the source folder, run this command.
