Introduction to planet KDE

This should be my first post to be aggregated in Planet KDE, if I have done everything correctly when updating the svn.

I'm a developer, member of the KMyMoney development team. For the past few weeks, I have been working on porting the code of KMyMoney to KDE4. There is a long way to go, but we are making some progress. I will be posting updates here on what I find and learn along the way.

Also, perhaps you have heard about the KDE Financial group. Hopefully, I will be talking about the progress we make with that too.

Quick note about myself. I'm 30, almost 31. I work as team lead for a software company. I work mostly on Java and C++, but on my spare time I stick to C++. I am also a moderator of the Argentina Local Community Team Forums. There, and on IRC, you can find me by my nick Hei Ku.

I've never heard of this "KDE Financial group". Googling does not seem to help either.... could you provide more information about this ?

Hi!

I am a long time user of kmymoney, and love the program. However I always thought that it was a little distant from KDE because very little was said about it.

Its great to be able to read updates to Kmymoney on Planetkde.org and to see that it is being ported to KDE4

So this is an official port, and it's starting even before the 1.0 release? WOW!!! This is incredible news! KMyMoney is wonderful software I use daily, and I'm very grateful for all the work the developers have done. I was wondering if a port will ever happen, and it is! Great!
