There has been a lot of work lately on several fronts. A lot of work has gone into solving warnings, so that not only do we have working code, but also that it should be in good shape. The check printing plugin has been merged into the main code, and now we need templates for it. Myself, I have been working on icons.

When we first commited the code, there were about 1600 krazy warnings. Today we are down to 240, even with the code steadily growing due to several plugins being merged into the main code. Now we have the reconciliation report, the aqbanking plugin, icalendar, ofx plugin, and the check printing plugin. And I may be forgetting something. Several of us have been working steadily on solving the warnings, getting the code in better shape. Hopefully, this will help us go faster and have a more stable application in the future.

About the check printing plugin, it is now merged. It works with HTML templates, and if you are interested on helping, we would appreciate having templates to test it. If you are interested, please send a mail to kmymoney-devel@kde.org, our mailing list. Cristian, the developer of this plugin, will really appreciate any feedback and help you can give.

These past days, I have been working on icons. We are making a joint effort with Skrooge to unify our icons. During our initial assessment, we identified several missing icons. So, I got to work with Inkscape to create some of those icons. Initially, we had contacted the oxygen team to get the missing icons once we had compiled the list, but instead I think we can provide a good set of financial icons to add to the oxygen set, or at least we might provide a starting point for that.

I have not performed any original work. I only rehashed existing icons to create the missing ones. Thanks go to Robert Wadley, our resident designer, and the Oxygen team.

What do you say if we changed the current icon for one of the coins? I think it would look great, but it's beyond my svg skills.

In the meantime, we are lowering the number of blocking issues for release, and I hope we can declare a string freeze in short time.
