¿Infringir los derechos de autor es comunismo?

Dentro del creciente debate entre el bando defensor de la propiedad intelectual y sus opositores, una acusación que se esgrime muchas veces es la de comunismo. Intentaré cambiar la discusión, dando mis argumentos por los que creo que los derechos de autor no representan al capitalismo.

Received my Nokia N950

While I was in Prague, at the GStreamer Conf, Nokia sent me a Nokia N950. It wasn't hard to get a cellular phone through Argentine customs, so I appreciate the effort of everyone involved.

Now, I get to work on it to make a mobile version of KMyMoney. My plan is to at least make a stripped down version that I can use to register transactions while on the go.

I also realized I had 4 generations of Nokia phones at hand, so here is the pic:

KMyMoney 4.6.1 is now available

The KMyMoney Team is pleased to announce the immediate availability of KMyMoney version 4.6.1. This version contains several fixes for bugs found in 4.6.0 since it was released three months ago.

Here is a list of the most important changes since the last stable release:

Los slides son similares a charlas anteriores, lo que hablé fue diferente, pero lamentablemente esta vez no fue grabado.

¿Cinismo?

Vos decís que no tenemos valores, pero la única vez que te movilizaste,  fue porque te habían sacado la plata. Decís que el problema es la educación, pero para cualquier problema la primera solución es dar palos. Decís que el problema es la falta de dialogo, pero no querés escuchar cuál piensan los otros que es la causa. Que el problema son los subsidios, pero no exigís que te cobren el monto completo cuando pagás el colectivo, la luz, el gas o el teléfono.

New stable KMyMoney 4.6.0 is now available

We are happy to announce the release of KMyMoney version 4.6.0, the next stable version, after 11 months of development from the first release of the 4.5 series.

Some of the highlights since the latest stable version:
* New CSV import plugin
* The application is translated in 36 languages (Bosnian and Uyghur added)
* The user documentation is available in 7 languages (French translation added)
* Many fixes for the OS X and Windows platform
* Performance improvements (although we know there's still work to do in this regard)
* Many fixes in the import and online banking modules

First beta of KMyMoney 4.6

It's been almost 9 months since the last stable version is out on the street. During that time, lots of bugs were uncovered, and lots were fixed. So much so, that the team has decided it's time to get on the treadmill toward another stable release.
KMyMoney 4.5.95 is now available for download. It is KMyMoney 4.6 Beta 1, only suitable for advanced users willing to help us stabilize and iron out the upcoming stable version.

On track for a new release of KMyMoney

The KMyMoney team is getting ready for a new stable release. A lot has happened since the 4.5.0 version, the first stable release for KDE Platform 4. Unless there is some trouble, you can expect version 4.6.0 to be available early August, just in time for Akademy and 4.7.0. You can see the detailed schedule here.
