We are "competitors" if you want. But there are plans to integrate with Kraft, and work on data interoperability with Skrooge. Also, we are working on a common set of icons and glossary. Together we formed the KDE Finance group, which is in its early days, but it's growing. http://techbase.kde.org/Projects/KdeFinance

So, we are competitors, but we work together on those things that make sense.
