Name recognition is one thing, but nerdy or not is in the eye of the beholder. Frankly, we have all kind of users, most of them not nerds nor geeks not any particular category, but regular users.

While well intended, your comments suffer a lack of reality touch. You do not know the application, and you do not know the community behind it. You do not even use similar applications. Arm-chair commenting is nice, but sometimes you need a deeper involvement to make an informed opinion.
