I think this is the right
I think this is the right decision, the KMyMoney name is very well established and I'm sure the development team has a lot of affection for it, not to mention many of us who have been using the application for several years now.
Also adding the '4' suffix provides clarity with respect to KDE.
I assume that once KMyMoney 4.0 is released this will be the focus of ongoing development but the KDE3 version will be frozen?
